The Columbine Effect

The Columbine killers weren’t the only men who were thought to be inspired by their video game personalities. Adam Lanza, a man who opened fire on a school of young children in New Town was said to be obsessed with the game Call Of Duty. A violent, shooting game, it’s the very thing that can set off an unstable mind.

James Holmes, the sick man who shot down innocent victims at a movie theater in Colorado was also notorious for his obsession to video games, movies, and other forms of media. In fact, his crime was revolved around a scene in “The Dark Knight Rises”

People begin to think they’re invincible when they get caught up in these video games, their characters have multiple lives. They can kill with no consequences. It sets people right over the edge of insanity and can cause the death of hundreds of innocent men and woman.
